Can a direct digital democracy be achieved?

The Civilization of Cyberspace is the prerequisite for any attempt to form a Direct Digital Democracy. To be Civilized the platform for DDD must be a level playing field without unfair software privileges. For example, the 'superuser' found in every variation of von Neumann's architecture used today hides unelected powers and unfair privileges that are in direct conflict with the foundation assumptions of equality, freedom and universal suffrage that frame a modern democracy.
